Saturday Specials
Once or twice a year, GXSA organises training courses for the benefit of its members. These are usually "one day events" held on a Saturday which cover various topics according to demand. Where appropriate, these have the benefit of RYA approval and certification. Topics have included: astro navigation, radar, knots and splices, diesel engine maintenance, GRP repairs and first aid.

Our locally based RYA approved
sailing school Westway Sailing
gives courses at the Memorial Centre, the same location as our talks, on
Thursday Evenings. The proprietor, Duncan Wells is a long-standing member
of the association and an occasional contributor to the yachting press.
