The association presents three annual awards, normally at the dinner following the AGM. Every member has an opportunity to nominate candidates for each trophy. The winners are selected by the committee after extensive consideration.
The Bob Gammack Memorial Trophy
Bob Gammack was a young, keen and well liked member of the association who died very suddenly after a short debilitating illness. The Memorial Trophy is awarded for exceptional effort on behalf of the association or in achieving a personal goal - beaten an illness or other challenge.
The Silver Jubilee Trophy
This is presented to a member who has shown an ability to extend his/her/their sailing ability beyond our normal horizons.
The Ruby Cup
This trophy is awarded to either a young person who has successfully participated in a sailing activity, or to an association member who has encouraged or promoted the enjoyment and participation in sailing activities among children or young people by his/her actions and/or example. It may be awarded jointly to a member and a sailing club which fosters the ideal of sailing among young people.
